Welcome
Welcome to Rebuild Coaching! We are excited and pleased that you have chosen to work with us. We look forward to partnering with you to rebuild your present and create a future that makes you excited to get out of bed every day.
Please take a moment to review the coaching agreement one more time. Should you have any questions, please email info@rebuildcoaching.com.
Here’s what to do next:
1. Book your sessions. You may now book your first month’s sessions. You have 35 days (from today) to use up all of the sessions in your monthly coaching package before they expire. We suggest you pick a regular time to meet each week, and then go ahead and book them all now.
2. Fill out the Brain Injury Effects Questionnaire. There are 2 reasons why this will be helpful to your coach: a) it will give your coach get a better sense of what you’re experiencing; b) it will give your coach a better idea of what support might be helpful and what support might not be helpful to you.
3. Read 7 Tips for Getting the Most Out of Coaching. These were compiled from observations over almost 10 years of coaching, and then customized to coaching clients with mild TBI. This single page of advice is designed to help you maximize what you get out of coaching.
4. Buy a journal or notebook. Use it for doing your coaching homework. Use it to jot down notes and reminders to yourself. Use it to write down ideas you have. Carry it with you wherever you go.
5. Get a planner with to-do lists for yourself. Planners have come a long way in the last 25 years. The new ones can be really helpful for organization and planning. Among the many good options out there, we suggest either the Roterunner Purpose Planner, the Panda Planner Weekly, the Planner Pad, or the Maalbok. Roterunner also has a high-quality Digital Purpose Planner, as well. If you have an electronic to-do list and calendar system that you would prefer that would be fine too: the main goal here is to find something that will work for you. Check these out and see which one best fits the way your mind works now. If you’d prefer, you can also discuss these options in more detail with your coach before ultimately choosing your planner.
Please don’t feel like you have to do anything else before you book your sessions. Booking your sessions is the priority here!
Summary
So, once again, here are the next steps:
1) today: pick an available day and time for us to meet each week and schedule your sessions
2) in the next few days, fill out the Brain Injury Effects Questionnaire and read the 7 Tips for Getting the Most Out of Coaching
3) in the next week, get a notebook and journal on Amazon or at a place like Staples or Target
4) in the next week or two, order a new planner on Pandaplanner.com or Amazon.com— or wait to do this step until after your first session.
If you have any questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@rebuildcoaching.com.
We look forward to working with you!
Best,
