Coaching for long COVID Brain Fog and Post-COVID-19 Neurological Syndrome

We offer personal whole life coaching for individuals experiencing lingering cognitive and emotional effects of long COVID-19 throughout the US and Canada.

The science and knowledge around long COVID are still unsettled. However, we have noticed a striking similarity between experiences reported by individuals with cognitive issues due to long COVID, and those of individuals with Post-Concussion Syndrome and other mild Traumatic Brain Injuries (mTBIs).

It’s not just about the symptoms— though that’s a big part of it.

It’s also the experience with medical providers; the disagreement or the out-and-out skepticism about the extent of the symptoms; the confusion caused by the good days and the bad days; the ambiguity of what are temporary effects and what are not; the nebulousness in how to treat this; the murkiness in the long-term outlook.

And of course, there are the symptoms themselves: fatigue; short-term memory problems; problems getting started even on what used to be the simplest of tasks; irritability; lowered anxiety threshold; the problems figuring out how to put one foot in front of another when planning or organizing; the struggle to make decisions.

If this resonates for you and you want more support beyond a prescription for antidepressants, encouragement to exercise, and advice to ‘take a break if you feel tired,’ then you might want to explore working with Rebuild Coaching.

We have extensive experience working with individuals with Post-Concussive Syndrome (PCS), mild Traumatic Brain Injury, and a wide range of other Acquired Brain Injuries (ABIs).

Of course, every individual and every brain injury is unique. However, just like there are symptoms that tend to occur across individuals and brain injuries, there also are strategies that tend to be effective across individuals and brain injuries. Yes: breaks, pacing and exercise factor into brain injury recovery, but these are a subset of the full array of tools that can facilitate brain injury recovery. And that recovery will look different for each person.

We suspect the same will hold true for individuals experiencing long COVID-related brain fog and other cognitive effects (e.g., Post-COVID-19 Neurological Syndrome).

Our approach entwines the common threads that tend to work for individuals recovering from PCS and ABI with the individual nature of their their brain injuries to create a successful, personalized approach for each of our clients.
